The green hills of Western Wisconsin's Coulee Country lend themselves beautifully to the production of grass fed and finished beef, lamb, and pastured poultry. Nordic Hills Farm is a family operation run by James and Mary Olsen, of Ontario, WI.
Our pastures have been chemical free for decades. We produce no row crops, which keeps machinery usage to a minimum and our carbon footprint miniscule. Grass is our crop, and our animals, having enjoyed a healthy start on their mama's milk, are our harvesters.
No grain is ever fed to our beef and lambs, thus the Omega 6 fatty acids in the meat are held in a healthy balance. A grass diet increases the production of Omega 3's, CLA's and essential vitamins found wanting in grain fed ruminants.
The animals of Nordic Hills Farm receive no artificial growth stimulants nor antibiotics. *While it is true that we have not chosen to seek official organic certification, the meat produced from our animals is 100% all natural organic.
